Leek Cemetery is quite large in area with undulating hills and a large Mound at one end. The burial areas are well manicured and cared for. Considering such a large area they are a credit to the hard working ground staff. The whole area is reached by tar mac footpaths. This of course means wheelchair access is fairly easy. The only difficult area would be the high mound. The vast variety of Trees and Plants add to the tranquility of this Oasis amid the houses. The aroma from the blossom gives a heady perfume to this jewel of a cemetery. On entering the Chapel room you are met with a wonderful display of flowers . This site is part of the commonwealth War Graves Commission. The burial area has some of the most beautiful Statues I've seen anywhere. I would recommend this cemetery to anyone even if you just want somewhere pleasant to stroll.
