Arnold Clarke rentals are not the cheapest rental company you will find however there are a number of things that make them a 5 star. 1. They were by far the most transparent in terms of cost outlays. The excess waivers are locked to a daily rate against the vehicle. The breakdown service is included (apart from misfuelling) The extra items (dash cam/gps/cat seats) are set prices and if not available on the day you get an instant refund. The fuelling system is fair, it's like for like and they show you before you leave. 2. The booking process online. It's so straightforward. The pictures of the cars available are useful for gauging boot size, rear seat space and comfort levels (like seating adjustments etc). Although it's not guaranteed you'll get the car you requested (I requested the Toyota C-HR but got a Peugeot 2008) you'll get a like for like transmission and because all the cars are in excellent condition you won't be disappointed. You can check in for your car and provide the DVLA check, driving license number and any other info you think you might need to provide (flight times etc) in advance which shortens the handover procedure. 3. The staff (thanks in particular to Hassan) are polite, efficient and make the process as seamless as possible. From the moment you walk in they are already preparing the car so once you've done the deposit, identity checks etc.. you are literally ready to go. Hassan walked around the car with us and marked up the few things we spotted but the car was literally brand new so there were no glaring issues. Hassan also walked me through using some of the car features. I openly admitted I hadn't driven a new car with the electric handbrakes/starting procedures, 20+ years of driving is diddly squat when you step in a brand new car! Returning the car was equally straightforward but just very busy. The team were inundated with check in and drop offs (this shows how well respected they are locally) but we walked round the car again to confirm no damage and a full tank of petrol, signed to release the deposit and handed back the key. The deposit refund was cleared in a couple of days. A perfect end to end process that made my life so much easier and with far less anxiety. Thank you Arnold Clark Leeds team!

Very good experience getting and returning a rental car with Arnold Clark zero tricky or hidden costs. Everything is straightforward since to beginning. My advisor Liridon was super nice and helpful. Surely will use again !
