After we had paid a deposit to secure a car, we found out that it had been written off, due to structural damage. Cars 4 U played this down by saying it had suffered just minor damage. Furthermore they had no paperwork to show me on this car, or its repairs. I told them I did not want to risk buying this car as I didn't feel it was safe. They would not give me back the 300 deposit I had paid (well actually my daughter's money.... it was supposed to be her 1st car). Having found other reviews since our bad experience with them, it seems that this Company picks up damaged written off cars from auctions and 'bodges' them. I would NOT get involved with them again or recommend to anyone! This so called "receipt of repairs" mentioned by Cars 4 U was written out in front of me and my daughter after I asked to see some information detailing the repairs they had carried out. The salesman went over to the bodyshop next door and together with a guy there they filled out a form there and then which ONLY stated the Reg No of the car, the date and there was a diagram of a car where 2 items were circled which was supposed to indicate areas of repair. There was NO writing or any detailed description whatsoever of the actual repairs carried out. It was extremely vague! It was written out literally a few minutes after I enquired about it. Alarm bells were already ringing! I felt that information was not fully disclosed about the history/write off damage to the car and did not feel confident that this car would be a safe vehicle for my daughter to drive. I am angry that garages such as these are allowed to get away with this type of thing. I was mislead and ultimately ended up losing my daughters deposit.

Reason for the one star is due to poor customer service.Arranged to view a car and rang before hand for a few hours and no answer.Got there and closed up.Later that day was asked if I was still coming to view the car.The car was not advertised as been written off previously but after some checks of my own it had.Not great.
