The Middleton Railway

We have had a lovely time this afternoon on the teddy bears picnic special, my two grandsons were happy to receive a teddy each when we bought the tickets, they were really nice too, so cute, the whole place looks great following the refurb, the carriages had had a make over too , it is well worth a visit, Papy enjoyed it as much as his grandsons

Very disappointed to have to write this review but because Middleton Railway cant be bothered to come back to me following a complaint I raised on 28th December 2022 , 4th of January 2023 and yesterday the 19th of February I am afraid I have to. Took my 2 grand children on the train at Christmas and Santa , was to say the very least a nasty old sod who shouldnt be allowed near small children. On the way out on the train he proceeded to give his helper , a ticket collector , a public telling off , in front of the children , for not doing his job right and then when my 4 year old grandson wanted to talk to him in his grotto , he told him to get out or he would call security ? His comments werent made in jest but as you can appreciate , completely ruined our grand childrens day . I raised his behaviour as an issue on the 28th of December and didnt hear a sausage . Somebody called Janet did text me on the 4th of January and told me she was investigating my complaint . Here we are however on the 20th of February and I still havent heard a thing , obviously Middleton Railways complaints investigations are as slow as their trains ( not good for fare paying customers and their experience) . I have held off posting this review because I am a fair man and wanted the company to investigate my comments ,however the treatment I have received in them dealing with my complaint and particularly the way Santa dealt with young children is an absolute insult to myself and my family . Needless to say I wont be using Middleton Railway again and hope that somebody with some influence at the Station takes my comments seriously . Christmas should be an exciting time for children, filled with surprises, love and high sprits . I am afraid the Santa that my grandchildren bumped into was no more than a miserable sod that clearly shouldnt be performing the role Julian Hurley I have posted the company with 1star because there is no space for a zero star rating but rest assured if I could have posted zero stars I certainly would have - not amused at all .

Brought our 7 year old here for the Santa Express and he absolutely loved it! He got a little present off Santa and got to ride on the steam train, also had our picture taken with Santa in his grotto at the end which is a nice touch! Would highly recommend for families at Christmas time!!
