The telephone operative at South Leeds & Hunslet Cars was OK with my booking until I mentioned I needed a dog-friendly driver because my small, well behaved dog would be with me. The details were taken and my booking was accepted and I understood that my requirements would be met. A few minutes later I received a phone call from Amber Cars. The receptionist said she was ringing to ascertain whether I did in fact still want the booking because her colleague at SL&H Cars had told her my previous call had been "cut off". I told her the call had not been cut off and that all my details etc had been correctly taken. I asked if the operator at SL&H Cars had been reluctant to carry a dog and she said they only had a couple of "dog-friendly" drivers but she believed the "cut-off" call explanation was genuine. I confirmed my booking details with her and sincerely hope the taxi I need will arrive this afternoon as required. This behaviour is typical of SL&H Cars. I have been messed about several times by their drivers about accepting my small dog who never leaves my knee when travelling by taxi. SL&H Cars are supposed to be offering a public service yet they blatantly discriminate against some of us and then lie and try to cover up their discrimination. They should educate their drivers in more customer-friendly behaviour and explain we are a dog-loving nation. I shall never use SL&H Cars again.

Before they all merged into one now amber it wsz a good firm but itsxall automsred so when youur taxi says 5 mins it might be it might not be its a bad booking sysrem and customer service and the price could be min 4.10 or 4.60 or 5.10 its complicated but nice drivers

I get 12 + taxi's every week, going to my Mam's & back home, few problems with new drivers but nothing like today, I was told money up front & locked in also went wrong way after saying he didn't hear me I said your sat nav is on & he ignored me again, after phoning office whilst locked in car I got no sense out of operator, he didn't understand or want to know

Terrible reliability. With worse customer service. Often takes an hour longer than they've claimed it will to arrive.
