I was interested in working at a CCUSA summer camp, as I have never been to the USA before. However, once you start emailing staff, they do not leave you alone. I was bombarded with emails by representative, Dave King, saying that places at summer camps were running out fast, when that can't be true as not everyone wants to volunteer. Furthermore, throughout my phone call with a lady called Georgia, rather than answering my questions, she was more concerned about sorting out my application and me paying even asking for my bank details ! I was also asked to pay my application fee before my phone call, which was very pushy. This company just want your money, and appeal to young people who want to travel the world by take advantage of them, and promising them the 'best summer ever'. I asked if I could be put with my friend at the same camp, and they said yes, but I then checked on their website, and it stated that being put in the same camp as a friend could not be guaranteed. Do not fall for CCUSA, the whole thing is a money-maker ! Furthermore, my friend who was initially all set up to work at a camp in Texas has now decided not to go as they were receiving emails saying 'urgent action needed' and 'tight deadlines' due to visa application. They are nothing short of a harassing and unprofessional company who need investigating. I'm sure once people arrive at their camps there is no support whatsoever. The fact that they are willing to take young people's money and then not give a stuff about how they sort out their return journey back to the UK after the nine-week program speaks volumes. Once money is exchanged, this company then has its commission which is perhaps why I was pushed into paying before even having a zoom meeting.

Avoid these people at all cost, they are a money-making organisation, exploitating and taking advantage of young people. My daughter showed an interest whilst at university, and was bombarded with emails and texts asking to pay the application fee and bank details ! This weekend, there is a CCUSA fayre in Birmingham; my daughter has received a WhatsApp message for the last five days reminding her to attend this fayre, this does not give a good vibe and is borderline harassment and so unprofessional in every which way.

Ccusa have been so helpful when finding a camp and sharing lots of tips and tricks about camp on their social media! They reassured me on all my worries and helped me find the camp that worked best for me. At camp, Ccusa kept in touch via social media so I never felt alone being a international at an American camp

CCUSA has been absolutely amazing through my whole journey to work at a summer camp. Their one-on-one help from their staff is truly superior to every other agency. There was never any hesitation to questions, guidance or just a chat! I felt super secure over the summer when I was away as there is a 24/7 number accessible incase anything was to go wrong. I also got multiple check ins to make sure everything was running smoothly which I loved. There is an online portal that makes every step of the journey easy to access and understand. Although the whole process may seem daunting, CCUSA was always there to help me thought it. I couldnt recommend CCUSA more!

I am really enjoying my experience as a CCUSA influencer because it is giving me the opportunity to look back on my camp experience over the summer and reminisce some of the best memories. I am very passionate about summer camp and am loving that I am able to share this excitement and joy about summer camp with other people! CCUSA were a great help with helping me to find the perfect camp and job role for my summer opportunity of working abroad. Not many camps seem to have a nanny role in which you can work with the youngest children, between ages 0 and 5, but CCUSA managed to find the niche role for me, in order to fit with studies at university. The staff are all very supportive and helpful with the application process and interview stage, answering any questions I had and settling any worries. I was hired at Camp Kingswood in Maine, and I honestly couldn't see myself going anywhere else. It was the perfect location for me, in a beautiful area in New England. A traditional overnight camp that lasts for 7 weeks, with two sessions. My favourite part of camp was the lake and waterfront, having the opportunity to go swimming every day. My job role was also one that I looked forward too, with the children I looked after making the days exciting and fun, always on the go and never bored. I couldnt recommend CCUSA enough if you are wanting to experience what it's like to spend a summer at camp in America, and are looking for somewhere that is going to suit you and your own personality and interests.
