    DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!! Have payed a deposit 7 month ago and they have canceled the installation few times for different reasons - i am struggling to recover my deposit and the second payment because nobody is replaying to my emails and calls - even after sending official complaint letters and using the official platform that they just created. Don't know yet if this is really a scam or if the company is really unprofessional and do not care at all of the customers. You can find few serious companies on the market that will help with the installation in a few weeks after the deposit.

    Do not use first 4 solar. I ordered my solar back in December 2022, paid 3000 deposit and got nothing. Ive requested a refund but Ive had no replies to my communications.

    I do not know what has happened to this company but read the newer posts. This company now does not take phone calls, their email system which they say is new they never get back to you - I even tried to ring Mr Hawkins on his mobile phone and text it also - you just get a message now saying to ring the help line. I know this mobile number worked and is his as my brother in law a few months ago managed to get through a couple of times. My installation was delayed then in January moved to the end of April - I have heard absolutely nothing. so they have 2600 deposit and people are genuinely worried about losing large amounts of money - do the right thing - contact your customers - pay back the customers you have treated appallingly, then some customers may come back and post reviews of a company that actually cares.

    **updated 04th May, Jake gave me a call last week to advise an installation date for Thursday 4th and Friday 5th he wanted to confirm stock (which he did on the call as it happened), never heard anything after, messaged Dave CEO, heard nothing. Comes to Thursday for installation and nothing. ** I wanted to be wrong, but this has been the worst experience Ive had with a company. I ordered over a year ago (March 22) putting down a hefty deposit. I was told at the time of ordering my install date would be around 2 months which I thought was ok, First4Solar organised a survey quite quickly it was after this that everything started to fall apart. I repeatedly had to chase for the design work. I eventually had the design work sent to me in the July, which is when I started pressing for an installation date. I had numerous dates which were allocated, all came and went with no sign of installers, scaffolding, every time I chased and was given a new date, all, I chased again in the new year and was given a date at the beginning of Feb again no one turned up. I chased again and was assured the new date of 20th March would be my date. To my surprise a roofer did turn up, his first comment was where was the Scaffolding? (a very good point), it was clear this was not the first time this has happened! ( I have to say the roofer was superb and genuinely felt for us in our situation), however nothing else had been organised. The roofer spoke with First4Solar and it was clear nothing was going to happen so he left. I rang in the afternoon and was advised that the operations team were having a planning meeting and I would get a call. (this is a theme, the well give you a call, incidentally they never do) I rang back on Tuesday thinking, the company would be embarrassed by the clear lack of organisation and have a date for me, the ops team are in a planning meeting was the reply. I then rang on Friday and again got the same reply. This is frankly laughable, it doesnt take a week to plan installations no matter what anyone says. I then rang Monday afternoon and the reply again the team is in a planning meeting. The selling point for First4Solar is that they manage and employ everyone in-house, no contractors. None of that matters as the installations dept, is truly terrible at communicating and then delivering anything. On the Tuesday after Id had enough, after being told again that the installations team were in another week long meeting (really!), I was offered that the amount to be charged would be reduced in light of everything, obviously this was never followed up by anyone. I had posted this review (above) following another difficult conversation, after which I had a call a couple of days after by David Hawkin (the CEO of First4Solar). To be fair to David, he listened to my frustrations and genuinely appeared to want to take ownership of getting me an install date, as well as agreeing on a reduction in the cost due to the experience and time I had expended on this, David explained the issues that the company were having with scaling the company throughout 2022 from a small family owned enterprise and I was willing (and wanted) to give them the benefit of the doubt, I was assured from David, I would "deal with him directly" and that I would be contacted the day after with an install date (Wednesday). David also said if he didn't deliver to use his name in the review. I was contacted the day after to tell me again dates were being worked through and I would be contacted beginning of the following week. Monday came and I received a very short and curt email saying "We will call with an install date next week", again suffice to say no call of that week, this was 3rd April. I have called David numerous times now, leaving voicemail, texts and have received only a single text reply to say I would receive a call on Monday with an install date.... No call, I have rung David numerous times in the later afternoon and again this morning.
