Crown Street Car Park

Expect a parking fine letter even though you have purchased your parking ticket. Contactless machines are dodgy to stay the least. Had to use the QR code that was on the parking sign in the end. Keep all photos as proof, you will need them to submit as evidence. However,it is close to the centre and a lot of potholes.

Definitely a scam, myself and multiple friends have had tickets recently. Paid for 4 hours parking and returned within the time to purchase another ticket extending it for another 2 hours as the online app wasnt working. Got a ticket despite paying the equivalent amount for the total length of time. Appealed and got a very generic response saying it was issued correctly.

Do not park here. Parked here on a Sunday evening. No contactless so had to use the useless Parkonomy app. Took 21 minutes to manage to get it to work. I overpaid as I knew it had taken some time. Received a parking charge notice. Appealed and rejected. Threatened that if I take it to arbitration and the 2nd appeal fails will have to pay a larger penalty (100 rather than 60). This is simply scamming behaviour and they're expecting people to give way to their bullying. I will see them in court. A disgrace.

DO NOT PARK HERE. Money making scam. We had a baby and a dog, it took us longer than 10 minutes to pay and post the ticket to our car as we were loading and sorting things. We later got slammed with a 60 fee. They are so unreasonable and would not consider our situation, despite leaving with plenty of time left for our space
