My worst ever experience with a property manager. Serious safety hazards in the house we were meant to move in to that they tried to hide (such a a rotting shower floor and mould, exposed wires). We politely asked for them to repair the damages before we moved in and they refused and asked us to back out the tenancy we had already paid and signed for. We chose to cancel our contract as we thought that was a huge red flag on their part and these were things that needed fixing by professionals. When we arrived to drop off the keys we were greeted by the rudest couple, the woman barely acknowledged us and spoke on the phone to her husband about us in front of us, her husband then arrived and proceeded to shout at us very aggressively after we asked if he could write on a piece of paper confirmation that we will receive our rent back. He refused over and over again and continued to shout abuse at us saying we wasted his time when we are the ones now homeless. If it were two men instead of women he would not have been that rude and quite frankly appalling behaviour and very unprofessional.

I asked them if they had taken a mortgage holiday once Corona Virus came as other student agencies had done. For the past 3 months they have deflected the question referring me onto different sources of information about why I need to pay rent. It would take them a day to reply to one email yet then 3 weeks to reply to the next so they are not responsive. I still to this date have not received an answer to such a simple question. We had mould in our bathroom from DAY 1 and they never came to fix it. This caused breathing problems in the bathroom all year. They never provided us with a dining table. We had to buy our own as they only gave us sofas. The mattresses were awful. I would sit down on my bed and feel each spring and the bed base under it. I would NOT rent one of their properties again!
