This company relies on keeping your deposit (at least a good percentage of it). Very rude and belligerent staff (I had a woman on the phone shrieking at me when I inquired as to the reason for which they were keeping hold of my deposit, despite me leaving the property in MUCH cleaner condition than I found it in.) Avoid at all costs, students and otherwise

Have been living in an Avtar property for the last 2 years. Going into our third, theyve always been respectful and responsive. Although at times stressed out and busy from managing all the properties, but can be expected. I have been with Pickard, DEU and Abode over the past 5 years, and only with Avtar have I stayed more than one year. Andrew from maintenance is a very down to earth guy. Had Dan for viewings, and again really lovely and took the time to chat, albeit during a busy period. The lovely Sanda, cant give enough praise, always good hearing her voice when calling up! For the bad reviews Ive seen, I dont know the details of all of them. All I know is I get back what I put out, respect and kindness goes a long way. Has worked out for me with every landlord Ive had.
