The main problems were with uncheaked bulling by unpleasant youths. Parents were often forced to take action into their own hands due to the inability of the school to do anything about it.
They used to have good school outings and a residential, now all things of the past. The school funds have been directed to erecting extensions for the ever growing intake.
The change over to academy status is always a mark of a failing school. It's a way of bringing in private funding and negating the responsibility of education Leeds. A very bad idea.
So if you thought you actually have a choice of were your children went to school and some how wanted to try exercising it, then don't send them to any school with academy status.
