People should really be aware of what they are letting themselves in for when volunteering. Its a massive commitment. The facilities are dated, like a old NHS hospital, so dont expect a private modern clinic. The food on my trial was terrible. My ten day trial felt like a month. Showers, wards etcal terribly dated. The thing that really annoyed me with the outpatient visits is that they are so badly organised. Dont expect them to be quick, sometimes they take half a day because they have everyone turn up all the same time, not enough beds and staff, so you end up waiting around for hours for something that should take ten minutes. Why they dont stagger outpatient times I dont know. Plus there is no onsite parking which is ridiculous for some trials as many outpatient visits are required. Some of the staff a great, and they do show a little flexibility when it comes to outpatient visits so its not all bad. But on the whole for the money paid its not worth the effort and risk in my opinion. They not pay you on the promised dates either, you have to keep chasing for payment which I found extremely disrespectful. You get fined if you were to miss any outpatient visit of not follow their schedule however it seems to not apply the other way around. On the whole a badly organised organisation.

Just finished a 3 night study, fantastic staff going the extra mile to make you feel comfy and relaxed. Facilities where great ,it was my first study but hope to do another one again

I just came off a trail not even a week ago. Lovely staff. Food was ok. I have to give it to Wayne though. Such a lovely and attentive staff member, very good and gentle with bloods too
