A lucky accidental find for us; my youngest was referred here when the usual Early Years checks couldnt be carried out in school due to covid. Daniel was so brilliant that now both kids and my husband all go here every year for their checks! None of them have been recommended glasses yet (in fact, my husband was told that he didnt need his glasses, which were issued years earlier by a chain optician) so I feel confident that prescriptions are only made where necessary.

I've been with this optician for years. I've had a great service with appropriate referrals to hospital which have saved my sight. Highly recommended.

Went for my yearly eye check. This opticians is not in Barnard Castle so there's no dodgy Govt advisors spreading Covid about. The team here have social distancing down perfect with good controls and as a shielding person I was perfectly safe. Can heartily recommend the team here in these times.

I went to Daniel Hayton Opticians when I desperately needed some maintenance help after my glasses got twisted and broke. Straight away, the staff were attentive, professional, supportive and best of all, determined to offer me a solution as they made extra efforts to collect some equipment from their Horsforth branch and bring it back to Headingley just for my benefit. It was very selfless of them, plus, they didn't want to accept anything in return which made me feel valued as they were happy enough to help me and make a difference with such a benevolent act. In addition, Daniel Hayton Opticians are making excellent efforts to keep their branches safe and secure throughout the current pandemic providing all customers the confidence to shop or ask for assistance in-store just as I did. I would definitely return and recommend everyone in the area to check them out and give them some support!
