Took laptop in for motherboard repair. They lost my data and overheard Barry ask the technician about it in the back room and be told there was no backup. Barry then pretended it came in with lost data and invented a ridiculous diagnostic that moving the laptop around might have caused the HDD head to jolt, wiping the data. If you look around there are cheaper and trustworthy alternatives in Leeds that also offer a refund in case of failed repair. Go to Gadgetsfix if you want to pay more just to hear fantastical excuses.

My original review was fantastic. However after only a few weeks of having my phone back from being fixed the screen was lifting and clicks when pressed. It has now been fixed since very late December 2022 and my phone js destroyed. I switched my phone on tonight (havent dropped it since it was fixed by this company) only half of the screen works and you can nearly see inside the phone from side view because the screen has lifted so badly. Resulting in me having to purchase a new phone which I cant afford right now and being worried about how I can transfer all my data (precious photos of loved ones) onto a new phone when the screen wont even work on my current one. Im very upset and worried about this, having no working phone. It has been made in a worse condition than it was when took it to gadget fix to be repaired. I wish I hadnt bothered and just dealt with a broken phone. I would not go here and again and recommend no one else does.

Changing my review after visiting the shop again 3 months later. I had been to gadgetsfix in January because my iPhone screen was shattered and they fixed it. Although pretty pricey, I was happy that my phone was repaired quickly and I could use it again. In April, I dropped my phone on a carpeted area, the screen was not shattered in any way but I could not use my phone anymore because there were dead pixels and the right part of the screen was completely black. I went back to Gadgetsfix with my warranty, it turns out there is no warranty and I was made to pay 90 (apparently a heavily discounted price and the owner even said he was making a loss after calling his supplier to ask how much an iPhone 11 screen was worth). The screen itself was not even cracked, only the screen protector had a couple of cracks / chips but this was not the result of me dropping the phone on a carpeted area that day. The screen protector got these couple of cracks and chips shortly after the repairs without me doing anything or being careless - despite the owner telling me otherwise. At the end of the day, based on my personal experience, I feel that they dont care about providing good customer service, they just care about making as much money as possible, even if it not justified in this instance. In all my life, I have never broken a phone screen apart from that time in January. The fact that this happened only 3 months later (and on a carpeted area!!) tells me that the screens they use are very cheap and shoddy. I was assured the first time that their screens are very high quality. I was tired after a long day of work and just needed to be able to use my phone again so I paid but I will tell my friends and family to go somewhere else for repairs. I can imagine this screen wont last very long (will update my review when it inevitably happens), Ill make sure to buy a new phone or go anywhere else in town. Looking at some reviews, Im sure the owner is going to try and put the blame on me, but ultimately the screen was not cracked, my phone dropped on a carpet and the screen was 3 months old. This should not happen if a good quality screen is used.
