** Waste of time and breath ** "What do you want!", was the call handlers response as we tried to explain our predicament with my employer. We went to ACAS upon recommendation of my GP and employment lawyer. Wish we had not as it was waste of a half an hour of our time. The call handlers only advise was for us to visit their website for information.

Hard work. Idealistic group of people who think money grows on trees. Interesting to see the picture on google search includes the mandatory free lunch.

they advise in a wrong way and their attitude is totally unprofessional! For a company that is mainly funded by taxes (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) it is expected to be professionals in manner and not to give advise like: 'you get use to the idea that you are not going to be paid' that was their response in an enquiry of mine!!!

I am a nurse,i contacted acas, albeit not this branch i think. I was a couple of weeks late,to notify!! Money at the nursing home i worked at regularly went missing,10 or 20 usually. I was told by carers 180 had been stolen, later covered up.we believe by the manager,he left 180 in a envelope in office. Was covered up by the home manager and deputy.. Also a carer told me she had gave a injection,a anti psychotic, this needs to be given by a nurse or a doctor. When i asked to be checked out covered up,and as i was on bank for the company for over 2 1/2 years, they stopped giving me shifts. Acas was very dismissive, not helpfull, and basically too late nothing else can be done. I shut a home down in 2011,this last event was 2017. With recent tv programmes and documented bad care tv and papers etc,i did not know about acas etc,so as a proffessional shocking. The home was owned by a big company,i went to see regional manager and.head of care . I now believe stringing me along for the 3 months time. Soon after emails ignored, all contact stopped, shocking really, let down by the NMC union,ACAS and certainly the company ST Phillips Care.. I hope someone reading can help,as i have had bad health recently, and the stress of losing income, unable to get a job for months also stigma of being a trouble causer. So thanks ACAS,certain time linits need altering on a individual basis.or considerd or discussed on merit...
