Eva and I have been training with lorena at sudden movements for a couple of years. We started with online classes through lockdown and have continued with 1:1 training. Having trained most of my life, the last 2 years with sudden movements and lorena have been the most rewarding and productive, stronger all over now at 47 than I have ever been. Nice friendly place to be.

I had only ever gone to mainstream gyms before stepping into Sudden Movements gym. I had done tons of Les Mills classes and getting bored out of my mind. I had picked up some really bad habits, but I was blissfully unaware of this. i thought I was doing great. During the lockdown I fancied a change and bought virtual class passes for Sudden Movements. I was amazed by the level of knowledge the instructors had and that they were able to pick this up from the screen. I had never challenged to think if my wrists were straight or if my support position was really as tight as I thought it was. You start thinking about the whole "exercise and well-being culture" differently, as you find yourself booking in for a class because you want to - not because you feel like you have to. Its about new skills rather than 5million repetitions of squats because then you get a "better body"... You get my drift! Now that the restrictions have been lifted I have done in house classes and its even better. The place is really friendly and inclusive and they really care about you making a progress and doing things right- rather than just taking your money and running away (yes- this one is for you my ex gym!!) In times like this we should all support local business's- this one is up there with the best- so go on - give it a go (you know you want to!) You wont regret it. They also sell mean rawhide cakes and play some good tunes while you move .What's not to love!

I met Lorena at another gym 7 yrs ago and have trained with her throughout. I recently decided to move to Sudden movements. It is the best gym I have been too. The atmosphere is friendly and you get to meet lovely people, it has a range of classes on offer, I have attended calisthenics, beginner movements and contemporary dance and loved them all. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone but I have never felt intimidated. I have wrist problems which have been a bit problematic but Colin and Lorena always offer me alternatives to the excercises I struggle with. I have also been training with Lorena on a 1:1 basis for many years and she has trained me through 2 pregnancies in this time. I can say she is my trainer but I have also made a friend for life in the process. I can highly recommend Sudden Movements to anyone wanting a different way to exercising rather than just running on a treadmill!
