We brought a property that was built by these over 2 years ago now and we STILL have unresolved snags, with them now trying to get out the biggest one. Since day one they have dragged their heels and done the minimum to get out of resolving snags. If you are looking at a new build please do your research into the builders who are actually building your property (these had their name nowhere to be seen and we didn't even know who these were until after we had moved in) and if it is these please reconsider before you buy.

Coming to the end of my City of York Council Tenants Choice rewire, bathroom and kitchen fit - and what a rollercoaster. Several promises made by Engie and the council never actually came to pass. Not one of the many tradesmen, or indeed the Liaison Officer, Dawn, have ever worn any masks, overshoes or gloves. Its as if COVID isnt a real thing. Im supposed to have been given a diary to record any daily problems - not yet tilers were four hours late today and left cement dust and wax all over every surface in the brand new kitchen. Also no heating or electric for tonight and the boiler timer ripped out leaving exposed wires. Special mentions for individuals - the carpenters were friendly and can-do, and Dale, who cleaned my kitchen today and discussed snags had an infectious sense of humour. We laughed. But these were exceptions in a badly organised, ramshackle organisation that seemed always to be catching up with itself, and letting the tenant know last, if at all. City of York Council should stop awarding contracts to the very lowest bidders. If you pay beans, you get cowboys.

Sloppy and unprofessional , chunks of debris and plaster dust everywhere rubbish left on site , ,they came to do a bathroom refit for your housing group and left the place a complete mess , put boards down in bathroom - then covered them in plaster as couldn't be bothered to put floor protection down - meaning plaster dust was going everywhere told them not to come back until I've spoken to your housing group, - i have health issues and probably could have done a better job myself, im just glad i stopped them doing the job a while back as grandson was here and was having asthma issues. .update - i stopped them doing the job until id spoken to higher ups i agreed to let them start again monday and put stuff right , then i spotted that they had laid mdf board for new flooring on top of debris that they couldn't be bothered clearing up what in the holy hell is this deemed acceptable

Wow, they don't like replying to messages, informing customers of any developments regarding their home work/repairs, huge communication breakdown. One of the biggest companies I've dealt with and definitely THE worst. Shocking how some of their staff behaved at my property. Not reliable, trustworthy or punctual.
