Very professional and caring service. The support they offered and understanding and sympathy they showed was lovely. Funerals are never easy things to arrange but the Co-operative took care of everything. I cannot praise or recommend this company highly enough.

Not to be trusted full of liars Some of the deceased's jewellery just disappeared after she was picked up and taken into their care.. then just one lie after another with stories changing every time you speak to them. Took over 4 weeks to find some paperwork which wasn't the paperwork which was signed at the time ( which their not interested in ). Ashes not left at the crematorium as they should have been . We even got a phone call the morning of the funeral to say "we've gone through your mum's coffin again and we can't find the jewellery. Put in a complaint and about the manager and the branch ( MARSH LANE LEEDS ) then got harrased by the manager and had to put in another complaint for harassment . Got dealt with then by another manager who still cant answer the questions just changes the subject and offered 250 compensation ..dont really know why i bothered complaining because there not interested. Over 18 months later and still full of lies.. co-op saying the manager had met me personally and given me the paperwork and still not answering my questions which is asked back in February 2019 The complaint then went CEDR who awarded me 550 and a letter of apology .. still waiting for the letter of apology??. Oct 2020.. I'd go elsewhere if you want honest people ..or if you want messing around and complete lies then these are guys for you..

Following the death of my partner, I went to Co-op Funeralcare in Marsh Lane, Leeds, to organise things. The funeral arranger I saw, Steve Roberts, was brilliant. He was very empathetic and allowed our discussions to go at a pace that I felt comfortable with. He was very patient, supportive and helped me to manage my emotions in a dignified and understanding way. Steve asked what my partner would want, then presented me with all the options that would meet those requirements to enable me to decide. Any special requirements I had were incorporated accordingly. I decided to have my partner brought home the day before the funeral. That was arranged for me with great attention to detail. Thank you Steve. The funeral director who actually carried out our wishes was William Shannon. William was very kind, respectful and thoughtful. At every stage, he explained what would happen next and checked that I was happy. I felt in control of everything that was happening and William was very supportive at every stage. The team that came with William was fantastic. They were all very respectful, supportive and paid great attention to detail. From start to finish, William and his team turned what I originally thought was going to be a mournful sorrow filled process into one that ended up celebrating my partner's life. The whole thing was very moving and deeply touched my heart. I am so glad I used Co-operative Funeralcare as they turned what I thought would be a daunting experience into one that was executed with great care, humility and respect. I'm so glad I chose them. Thank you very much. Ken
