I can't thank Thomasons enough for the care provided for my mum. Thea and the whole team were amazing providing a professional service, for giving me much needed advice from flowers to memorial wallet cards. They done us proud my dad funeral help us out so much during hard time 11 years ago and my grandma got the best off we could give her with dying with covid they given us so help couldn't ask for more thank you Philip and your wife best place going

It feels strange to write a review on a funeral directors but we have been so pleased with the service received it felt needed. We are not local to Leeds but came across Thomasons name in a leaflet provided by the bervement team in York Hospital. Having had a more negative experience a few years ago with our local director I was looking further afield. I have learnt over time that funeral costs vary significantly from one place to another. I called around a few companies and felt overwhelmed with the 'extras' that was being charged for example extra for dressing or collection of loved one from the morgue. When I called Philip he reassured me that it was all included in his fees and was clear and precise in the costings. We met with Philip he was very polite and professional. In the lead up to the service we met with Matthew, arranged by Phillip, and felt that he was very calming and really wanted to know who the deceased was. This came across in the lovely service he conducted. Phillip called a few times in the week of the funeral to check we were happy with things. On the day his timings were perfect and his team were very professional. The quality of his cars and suits was noted by my brother. Following the funeral Phillip was prompt in contacting us to arrange collection of the ashes and we were surprised to see these were presented in a bag with a plaque for future use. This may seem a simple thing but it was much more pleasant and dignified than a previous director at another firm who handed me the tub in the past at the door. We noted a few things that made us realise what was missing from prior funerals for example Philip led the procession out of the street, up the drive of the crematorium, opened the doors for family, our cremation certificate was given to us (we never received my other family members). Not only was Phillips service so efficient and professional but he also was over 1500 cheaper than any of the other companies I contacted. At a time that often comes as a shock, that's a huge saving as it's not cheap to die! Thank you to all the staff at Thomasons and whilst we hope to not need you for some time you will definitely be our first choice when the time comes in the future.
