Awful awful awful company!! I can not even begin to explain what we have been dealing with for over 2 years now and still no refund of over 2k which they accepted they were wrong to charge. Staff know nothing and theres no way to get through to anyone. Ive never in my experience seen a company run any worse than Yorkshire gas and power. Im certain this company is bound to fail due to how shocking bad their system and service is.

Breach of license in supplying a residential dwelling when not licensed to. Fraud - keeping money from a government scheme under my name when you didnt supply. Coercion - trying to tie me to paying a final fee but not giving the final figure but making me sign to say Id basically pay anything. Trying to disconnect a property you dont supply and when a vulnerable household (2 blind boys). When I accepted a settlement figure you then wouldnt settle. Dispute resolution is awful as is the complaints process. Director of operations wont reply. Harassment via phone and email. Truly abhorrent company - off to the ombudsman and action fraud.

I received a bill for over 2,000 for a period of 15th August to 7th November 22. Absolutely unreal, they said because I was out of contract, but I had not even signed one as I moved into my office in the August. I called and said I did not receive anything from them to introduce them as my supplier. After alot of back and forth they now have it down to 407.00. Companies should not be allowed to do this it is like pick a number! Now I have sorted out a payment plan to clear this, I am getting threatening debt collection agency letters

Nearly a year has gone by, and YGP have not changed their deliberate dishonest practices. They are well aware that there are minimal national resources to combat fraud and scams, such that any scammer has over 95% chance of zero consequences for their crime in the UK. I am afraid to say to any of YGP's victims, that you are not dealing with a normal utility company, as YGP are merely scammers defrauding 1000's from innocent and often young entrepreneurs. This is what I wrote before: 1 star is far too many. Outrageous demands, 4.99gbp per day standing charge, over 1000 advance payment bills to cover 10/month electric at skyhigh 40p per unit. No option to change provider as they block transfer requests claiming 'contracts' are for 3 years. The ways these scammers prey on young new entrepreneurs is despicable. Sometimes, they use social media etc to identify new start ups, and target unsuspecting victims. They cold call and frighten victims into having to urgently agree something over the phone, and then abuse the direct debit system by helping themselves to disproportionate amounts. When the victim is forced into cancelling the DD, they add 100's extra, and when you do not pay, they send their debt collectors in, even during their '8 week complaint process' which is a sham in itself. The pressure and stress caused is so unbearable for many of these young people it is so unfair, and it is an absolute disgrace YGP still have their licence from OFGEM.
