*THIS BUSINESS HAS CLOSED DOWN* Wendie adjusted a dress in 2020 but the event was then postponed due to covid. She promised to have my dress steamed and further adjustments and asked me to call her again about a month before the new date. That date came and went, I called numerous times and sent a number of emails. They all went unanswered. I decided to visit the shop to find it had closed down, even though Google still suggested it was open. Im guessing Wendie or someone would still have access to the business email they could have responded to me, even just to say it had closed for business or they could have put a message on the phone voicemail to advise it was closed but I just received no response at all, which is pretty unprofessional.

I had my initial consultation with Wendie in September 2021 to go over what alterations Id like made to my dress after having a love hate relationship with it for so long. After my initial consultation I then had another 13 appointments and watched my dream dress come to life. Wendie is such a lovely lady, she makes you feel at ease and gives her honest and professional opinion. I looked forward to every appointment because Wendie made me fall in love all over again with my dress and I never wanted to take it off at the end of my appointments! Id recommend Perfect Fit Bridal Couture to anyone who needed their dress altering or even one made from scratch! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my dream a reality Wendie xxx

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed by my experience with Perfect Fit Bridal. When booking my appointment I clearly explained that it would be more than an alteration that I required- I would need lining on my wedding dress. Understanding that this is a busy period, and my wedding was in 4 months (at the time of the phone call), I briefly explained what I would need and asked if she thought we would have enough time and she said that we had plenty of time. They understandably were busy and only had availability for an initial fitting appointment 6 weeks later. Once again, I asked if that would be enough time (3 months before my wedding) and was assured that they could make it work. When I came to my appointment and tried the dress on, I was abruptly told that to make more elaborate alterations I would need six months before the wedding. And that they dont do lining. The website specifically quotes 8-10 weeks before the wedding for the first appointment, and there is a list of elaborate alterations possible within that time frame. More importantly there is no mention of a minimum time required to do certain alterations. As you can imagine this has left me in a vulnerable situation needing to find another place for alterations with a much shorter time frame. My recommendation for this company in the future would be to make time frames clearer on the website and be completely honest with managing expectations of brides.

I had to post this to hopefully save other people from having their wedding dresses ruined. At every fitting, right up to the one a week before the wedding, I was asked what my wedding date was which made me very uneasy. When I finally received the dress in the week before the wedding, it had long loose threads and many of the alterations we agreed had not been even attempted. For instance, the bodice should have been taken in but I dont think it had been touched as it was still much too big. Given how little time I had before the wedding to solve this and how little I trusted them to fix it, I told them I was unhappy, paid the fee and then took it home to try and fix the threads and easier alterations myself. Very unprofessional, please avoid!
