A truly terrible bank who have caused great trauma in failing to release the funds of my late father. Take your money somewhere else.

Same story as previous reviewers, this banks service when it comes to attorneys working on behalf of anyone suffering with dementia is absolutely appalling. Additionally bank managers (in my case the one in the Harrogate Road branch), refuse to acknowledge when they have made a mistake and (again in my case) place the vulnerable person in danger rather than fulfil their obligations. Furthermore, it is impossible to get through to anyone centrally as every phone number the general public have access to goes to a call centre where one is kept over an hour on hold (on average) and thereafter (if the initial operative is unable to deal with the matter) is cut off. My next action is to write to The Banking Ombudsman as I dont believe Virgin are acting in any way differently to the worst scammers.

Working on behalf of my mother as her power of attorney due to her dementia and I am made to feel like I am breaking the law every time I go in a d make requests for things. They truly are pathetic and the service is atrocious in store and by phone.
