Firstly I went in to buy products to service my car. The shop owner made his own prices up when I got to the till. He added 2 to 8 more for each item compared to my usual car parts shop. The shop owner tried to convince me to buy the engine oil by saying it's really good oil. I was not given any other options for the products, they had in stock. I purchased a car bulb, however the seller didn't provide a box for it. I had to wrap it in my glove to keep the delicate item from breaking. I went in again the next day and a shop worker charged less than the prices the owner had given me the day before . He did give me options for engine oil. I purchased an oil filter and air filter and engine oil. I paid by card and asked for a receipt. The worker took my mobile number to send me a digital receipt. I received NO digital receipt on my phone. I went to another car parts shop and I found the exact same oil for 8 cheaper. I went back to universal auto spares to get a refund. They shockingly have a very short two days to return only. I was well within my right to get a refund. The shop worker said he couldn't use the card machine to refund me. He also said he couldn't give cash because the card machine charged them 1.50. He phoned the shop owner and said to go back after 3pm. At 3pm I phoned the shop before going in, to ensure a refund can be given . When I went in, the shop owner went on the card machine and said the card machine does not work. He gave me the unfair option to give me cash refund of 2 less than I paid.His reasoning is that the card machine charged him 2. (shop worker said machine charges 1.50 earlier that day ) The shop worker gave the unprofessional option to leave the engine oil I purchased with them and they would keep trying. I was not happy to do that. The shop owner was disrespectful and unprofessional. Absolutely Terrible customer service. I did not expect to be met with such hostility and sarcasm. The owner said I was making an issue over 2 and accused me of giving my wrong mobile number in relation to the digital receipt. The owner said to the worker "I bet she doesn't trust us to leave the engine oil " and asked me why I bought their engine oil in the first place. They said to go back next week. The shop owner told the shop worker "to deal with it next week" A few days later I phoned them up to ask if I could go in for the refund. The shop worker once again said he could not do refunds. He told me to go in when the owner is at the shop. I called twice and the shop worker gave me an approximately 2 hour time slots, to go in to get my refund, which were inconvenient times for me. No price tags on most of their car parts. I did not get my refund despite their 2 day refund policy. Residents street parking only. I had to park a few streets away.
