Booked their services (to come and service 2 air conditioning units) a week in advance to coincide with some renovation work we have ongoing for a new tenant to take over a leased property.
On the day they were supposed to attend (Thursday), there was no sign of them by mid afternoon. After two calls to their office chasing an update, I received a call from the owner Matthew to apologise and state he was unsure why no one had attended but he would put things right and have someone attend the following morning (Friday).
As I would not be on site the following day I asked the builders to provide access to the expected engineer.
Friday comes, the engineers from Wharfedale don't and their is no contact from Wharfedale.
I make contact with the builders who confirm no attendance at 4pm on Friday afternoon, I make contact with Matthew who once again has no idea why his staff have failed to attend and do their job.
I point out to Matthew that his companies woeful approach is putting my schedule back and financially impacting us. This then prompts Matthew to ask whether my main point of complaining is to get a discount. Nope, absolutely not. My complaint is about you doing what I need you to do and be paid for it. Clearly you cannot service this job, so would have appreciated some honesty and said it couldn't be done.
Matthew offered to "put it right" and attend first thing Monday morning, but let's be honest, I would be a fool to risk trusting your assurances again as on two occassions you've admitted being unsure what your staff are doing.
I will take my business elsewhere, I'm not looking for a discount, I'm looking for a professional, trustworthy company, which sadly you've failed to deliver.
