WARNING to all McLaren car owners I will share my bad experience. I was told my car had to be serviced by a McLaren dealer or my extended warranty would not be valid. The extended warranty was 3075 and the service was over 1600. McLaren Leeds collected my car from Hull (my address) and transported (on a McLaren transporter) to Leeds. Referring to their own invoice the recorded mileage on collection was 2,400 miles. When they returned the car to me after two weeks (on the transporter) the mileage on the speedometer was 2,900. I queried this with McLaren Leeds as to why my car gained 500 miles when it had gone for a service ? They claimed they had made an error on the mileage recorded on collectionthis is not possible as professional garages record correctly the mileage and vehicle details when the work is processed. My conclusion is that perhaps they never serviced the car and simply rented it out ? I contacted the McLaren head office who were very courteous and understood my concerns. However they promised to investigate the situation and call me back the following daybut they did not ! For this reason I have decided to sell the car to avoid any further deception by this company. I prefer to deal with people I trust and can respect.

Without doubt the unfriendliest dealership I have ever visited. I was passing by earlier today and thought I would call by and check out the current stock as I am looking at changing my vehicle early next year. Unlike other local dealers (Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin etc), there is no used stock outside the main showroom to view, so I walked up to the front door, only to find the automatic doors locked despite this being late morning and the dealership open with at least 3 staff members inside. One salesman was sat at his desk and could clearly see me at the door, looking confused as to why the doors were locked. Despite looking at me three or four times, he made absolutely no effort to come over and ask if I he could help, nor did any of his colleagues. They didn't budge even when a Royal Mail postman arrived and tried to deliver their mail. After 5 or so minutes I decided enough was enough and left, and I can honestly say I will never return. I have heard negative rumours about McLaren Leeds at places such as The Motorist, Caffeine and Machine etc but I always brushed them off as idol chat, but having experienced it first hand, I now understand it completely. So, it looks like I will be heading back to Ferrari Leeds, where the staff are always helpful, attentive and welcoming. Very poor McLaren Leeds, I hope you don't treat all potential customers like this.
