I rarely go to hairdressers for my Afro hair to be treated due to several instances in which my hair has been poorly treated and left damaged. However when I often need a break due to work life balance and I need a professional trim (every three months) - classy design is the only place I trust. They look after Afro textured hair properly and also provide affordable prices which are accessible. I highly recommended this shop and boasted of the service amongst my family. For part of my sisters birthday treat, I wanted her to be treated with a professional treatment, blow dry and trim. My sister has an autoimmune condition called psoriasis which is also exacerbated by hard water and oil based products. Her hair was previously only able to be above ear-length due to the recurrent bouts of flare-ups which had her on topical medication/shampoos which led to breakage/damage of her natural hair. My sister presented to the salon with unwashed hair (as expected for a wash/blow-dry) and her own products in which we were challenged openly with a cold manner. The stylist then proceeded to give an open consultation amongst other customers stating that her scalp was bad and that she needs to go to the GP - again in an unprofessional manner amongst other customers with no form of discretion. On top of this we waited for up to forty minutes post our booked slot and were then told that due to having to detangle my sisters hair it was our fault for why we didnt finish the service at an earlier time. My sister ended up having a rushed blow-dry (not enough time for a round brush blowdry), not enough time for a trim and chunky cornrows for which myself or my mum could have achieved at home. My sister was internally in tears and expressed that she doesnt want to return due to the service - so much so that she didnt wish to go back to pick up her lost item. The aforementioned situation was only rectified by chance when Helen arrived midway through my sisters service and provided a warm culture/welcoming attitude. Although I wasnt the one directly effected, I was really upset and unfortunately will have to find my family and I another stylist as I had to stand up for my sister in which rapport has broken. If you have to be deemed healthy hair, the service and the staff will be deemed to be a 5/5 experience - however if you have hair which is in poor condition/struggling to get your hair back on track or an undisclosed medical condition, you will be best suited doing detailed research for another salon which may grant you more dignity and respect. Services: Blowdry, Hair hydration treatments

I had a wig fitting and whilst the outcome was not bad the stylist braided my hair so tight that it pulled and broke the back of my hair what didnt help was the glue. Absolutely awful, Ive had this done before and never in my life have I experienced this or the pain that came with. Please avoid the stylist that supposedly specialises on this. Service: Hair extensions
