It's been a while since our last visit to Hackney Barkers. I have a welsh corgi pembroke with beautiful fluffy pants. During our visit I asked only for a full grooming service with just a little hygiene trim. It was our second visit, the first time everything went well, so I didn't suspect anything. I got back a dog with almost completely trimmed pants, I was so frustrated, 'cause it's unprofessional to trim corgi's coat like that (at least until the owner ask you)! Corgi's coat grows back very badly and people who work in this area should know that! I was mad at that moment, but I didnt say anything and decided just not to visit them anymore. I hoped that the coat will grow back and everything will be fine. Unfortunately, it has been more than 6 months now, my dog already had a shedding, and the coat still looks horrible. It has grown back, but it is uneven, with bald spots, it's just BAD. It will take up to 4 sheddings, before the coat is fully recovered. There is a chance it will never grow back properly as well. If you plan visiting Hackney Barkers I really encourage you to at least keep in mind that they might not know certain features about your dog's breed, and you definitely need to discuss all the details. Ps. Was contacted by the HB, reassuring me it wasnt them. I just want to clarify, I didnt want to offend anyone or anything like that, the rest of the service was well done. I dont know the exact instruments you use (trimmers, clippers, whatever), but the fur on my dogs pant was surely cut off by you. You ALSO cut the edge of her tail (she had a perfect thin tassel at the end of her tail, you cut it in perpendicular, like if using a trimmer).

We recently took our Dachshund Biscuit to Hackey Barkers for a paw trim and treatment. Dachshund's like ours don't really need a lot of grooming but their fluffy Grinch paws do need trimming from time to time. From our initial conversation via email, to taking him in the to salon, our whole experience was fantastic! The staff are so attentive and kind, they really put a nervous pup at ease. The nail and paw fur trim he had was absolutely excellent, he looks so neat and tidy, which was our main goal. We're so happy with the service and would happily go back & recommend them to anyone!
