      • Norfling the Conqueror

        Ordered from here a couple times, nice selection of meat and pastries from their website. I'd give it a 5 instead of 4, but I have to be honest, the last time I ordered from here I bought a bunch of ribeyes and they had a very strange aftertaste, very offputting. Aside from that, delivery was prompt and friendly, most of the other times that I've ordered from here have been positive though, overall.

        Was a happy customer here for years, until my last order was delivered. I put it straight in the freezer. When I went to use the sirloin steak, it wasn't sirloin at all - looked like a couple of bits of braising steak! I sent an email complaining about it, but they didn't even have the decency to reply. So much for caring for their customers, or was it that they already knew they had given me the wrong steak, sent something that was half the price. Well, they have lost a customer! I certainly won't be ordering again, nor will my daughter.

        Been coming for years now. Meats are always amazing. There is a selection of vegetables and some frozen bits too, duck and chicken eggs are available The staff and owners are lovely. I would say this is one of the best butchers in Essex
