Chauffeurs Cottage

This cottage and location is absolutely stunning. I have stayed here for a number of years and now Lisa has taken over the ownership I can't fault it. I stay for work and it is so nice to arrive to a full hamper of food and drink to kick start my stay and several boxes of freshly laid eggs left for me most days. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area. Thanks.

We stayed here for 3.5 weeks during June, and had a fantastic time. Lisa and Mark were exceedingly welcoming, and very attentive hosts. The cottage itself is comfortable, and it was great to be able to use the pool and the gardens too. Also, lot's of great walks and pubs in the surrounding area, which we really enjoyed. Would highly recommend staying here. Oh - and we got fresh eggs from their chickens every morning!

What a wonderful find. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Lisa and Mark, who spent time showing us around their beautiful garden/orchard and then the wonderful interior of the superb Cottage. The cottage had everything you could possibly need, including a warming fire to enjoy in the evening. It was very cosy inside and so elegantly laid out. We were also able to enjoy a private garden, fully furnished, through the double doors from the sitting area. The cottage was very private and so pretty where you find everything you need and much more. The thoughtful and generous welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. As were the eggs Lisa left for us from the hens. The added bonus was the most welcoming swimming pool which Lisa and Mark kindly let us use. And we loved saying hello to the alpacas and the sheep! A fantastic stay and certainly well worth a visit. Richard & Susan

We cannot praise Lisa's offering enough. The cottage is delightful, warm, spacious and inviting. It is set in wonderful grounds of gardens and fields that guests are welcome to use as their own; our children enjoyed playing with the chickens and collecting eggs, as well as roaming among the wonderful apple orchard (so many varieties that were ripe in October, we took bags back to make apple pie!). The swimming pool is fabulous, and you have it to yourself! Plus all the pampering that goes with it for a holiday - his, hers and mini dressing gowns, slippers, and water bottles on tap. There is also, adjoining the cottage, a terrace that is a wonderful sun trap and beautifully furnished for lounging/ eating/ kids' play. The cottage is clean and inviting, and full of scented candles and similar. Lisa and Mark, and their two children, cannot do enough to make your stay special. Plus the location is wonderful - pubs and farmland galore!
