Brilliant pub with superb menu. The food was excellent (some classic dishes and some more unusual but all very tasty), the wine list was extensive but not intimidatingly so, and the staff were so friendly and very welcoming. I look forward to another visit when Im next in the area!

Update....since i last ate here the ownership has chsnged. The same applies but i feel the menu has improved. An English country pub doing a great job of the balance between food to drink ratio required these days to keep us punters coming. Sometimes I eat here and it's been great food. Sometimes I just drink here on a country walk.....what's not to like. That's why I give it 5 stars. Well kept Ales to boot.

Brilliant pub with superb menu. The food was excellent (some classic dishes and some more unusual but all very tasty), the wine list was extensive but not intimidatingly so, and the staff were so friendly and very welcoming. I look forward to another visit when Im next in the area!
