The stable cottage was a great place for our friends and families get together during the weekend. It was spacious, plenty room for all of us, including large and well-equipped brand-new kitchen with enough dining space for everyone. As a host Peter was very friendly and helpful and his communication is fantastic, I spoke several times during booking, and I knew exact expectation. We loved the cottage scenic area and enjoyed seeing horses around the cottage. It was a nice and relaxing visit!

Amazing place!! Perfect for a large family group. Huge kitchen and living room meaning everyone had lots of space. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen allowed us to cook and serve the whole group of 13 at once which was lovely. The pool table kept both adults and children entertained along with good WiFi and TV. It was very peaceful and quiet even when situated on a working farm. The kids loved being able to see the horses in the stables and the fields. A lovely walk to Barnard Castle across the fields and through a picturesque nature reserve was great. Peter was very hospitable providing advice on local eateries and leisure activities. He made us feel very welcome and made sure we felt at home, it was clear to see he cared that we were happy. I would definitely recommend this accomodation to a large group. Thanks Peter
