The Old Church Surgery

Just tried to book an appointment and the nearerst date is 4 WEEKS time!!! What is going on???.

Poor service. I have been first in the que for the last 35 minutes and no one is answering the phone and I didnt even call during peak time. Honestly how hard is it to pick up a phone that has been ringing for the last 47 minutes?

Worse practice in the borough Dr James is the worse doctor Ive ever come across has a little bit too much interest in certain female patients almost to the point of an obsession which is disturbing! Only one good receptionist out of the whole team now I see why doctors come and go rapidly!

The reception team are 10/10 and the nurse we saw was amazing. Yes the receptionists can be a little to the point but they are busy and because of this, the queue moves super fast. Unfortunately, the doctor I spoke to, however, was awful and I was shocked to learn that she was one of the senior consultants. Google won't allow me to leave her name but she has long dark hair and is one of the senior consultants. This should narrow it down. She was so rude, and really dismissive. I even apologised and said I am sorry if you are in a rush, to which she dismissed me further and told me I had to book an appointment with someone else since she was off on holiday for three weeks! She mentioned this about three times and made it clear she just wanted out. I was on that phone call, that I had booked in for over 3 weeks, for all of 7 minutes. I then called and spoke to a lovely receptionist as Dr R had not left clear instructions on what the next steps were. It's no wonder the admin team may sometimes come across stressed if this is how a senior consultant treats her patients. I always take the time to show huge appreciation for our NHS, they are overworked and under paid, but this doctor was devoid of any empathy, and had the emotional intelligence of a chair.
