Design Team

I first met the Design Team at a property show and spoke to David Abimbola about my thoughts of converting a house into flats. With our initial meeting he started coming up with ideas and suggestions, e.g., we could apply for a pre-application first to get the initial thoughts from the council on the idea before progressing to a full application, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a pre-app. I immediately realised that David was the right person to help me with this project. Since then, David has managed to get planning approval to convert my house into 2 flats and I am now looking at progressing this to the next stages with him and his team. I am also speaking to David and about other projects and have recommended him to others.

I would definitely recommend Design Team and use them again. David was fantastic and kept us updated throughout the process. We had another designer to begin with who didn't impress us quite as much as David (hence why I have given 4 stars) but on the whole they were brilliant.

Great efficient service for a simple loft conversion planning permission. They kept us updated throughout the process and were very knowledgeable about what was and wasnt possible. Second time we have used BuildTeam now and would recommend.

We engaged Design Team to design our loft, 1st floor extension and garage conversion. We had one point of contact (Steven) from start to finish, who also carried out the measured survey and we particularly valued the opportunity to sit down with him and discuss our brief in detail at this meeting. Steven worked with the local council to secure planning permission for the proposals which were very much at the boundaries of what is normally permissible. We particularly valued the integrated approach they offer and having them take care of planning, technical drawings and structural engineering reduced the legwork on our side. At the end of the process we were provided with a schedule of works which we passed to our shortlisted contractors for pricing. We have subsequently recommended Design Team to friends of ours looking to extend their home.
