Visited today for takeaway meals for first time since new owners took over. Hubby had cod, I had scampi and we shared a large cheesy chips. Prices seem to have increased, but so have a lot of places lately. As fish and chips go, it was fine, but the chips are not the same as before - more like frozen, bland and pre-prepped, like burger vans use. They were always much more home-cooked and tasty. Fish and scampi pretty much to be expected. Its gone from worth the journey, to nothing special, same as you can get in most chippies ... shame as they always had a brilliant reputation, but everything changes and some things not for the better ...

A hidden gem! Friendly and very helpful staff, fresh produce, good portion sizes. My Wife swapped her chips for salad and was really impressed with the salad size and quality! We shall return...
