Visited my dear friend today at the cedars, I was very impressed with the care she was receiving, the wonderful staff have really helped her since she was first admitted and she now gets involved in all the activitys that the staff provide, her room is very nice, clean and tidy and as a visitor I was made to feel most welcome, a special mention to the manager Sam, Lisa on reception and the nurse Ruby who were all so polite and courteous to me and took the time to answer my questions I appreciate how busy they all are, looking forward to my next visit.

The attention to the residents and the team spirit caught my attention from the very beginning. It is a pleasure to collaborate with wonderful people to take care of the well-being of young-hearted elderly people.

I visited a long term friend & his wife,(1959-62,) who are both in their 90's, who both worked at the JSNCGD,in Winterbourne Gunner, near Salisbury. The setting of the home is secluded, comfortable & efficiently run by a superb staff, who make their stay as pleasant as possible from the moment they arrived. Bill & Pam share a room, which is linked to the home's phone line,& they have a son & daughter who visit them often. As a visitor,I was made to feel at home, albeit for only a few hours each time. Easily accessed by car, from either Salisbury or Romsey,in the New Forest. A communal dining room, plenty of therapeutic activities for those guests who are still physically able. Guests are encouraged to do whatever they choose in a warm, relaxed environment. The building was once owned by Lord Byron, but has been modified to suit the guests.
