mostly awful experience but they seem to have hired a new girl who actually answers emails in a timely fashion and is very friendly the manager, Cara, however is a different story and delivers terrible service, including failing to notify us of non-emergency maintenance visits 24 hours in advance as is required by law and our tenancy agreement

Lived here for a term as an postgrad and havent found any issues. Read some poor reviews about reception staff but in my experience, theyve all been very friendly and helpful and always up for a chat (plus theres often a dog on reception). I got a bit paranoid about security at one point having never lived in a ground floor flat but they put an extra lock on the door to try and ease my mind even though in reality, it really wasnt necessary as there were already two locks on the door but I really appreciated the gesture. Reception isnt 24 hours but thats advertised and theres out of hours numbers to call if needed. They also put on events for tenants and add everyone to a Facebook group so that you can meet new people and make friends if youre new to the uni. Rooms are a reasonable size and well kept. Not luxury, but its student accommodation at the end of the day and rooms are much nicer than some student houses Ive been to. Kitchen and living room space is big enough for the number of people in the flat. Can be a little noisy but thats to be expected in a city centre student accommodation block, and still quieter than campus accommodation so it never really bothered me. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for budget accommodation, especially if its not for the full academic year as places that offer tenancy for just one term are hard to come by.

Stayed here in my 3rd year and would love to have stayed again! My room was an attic room on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view of the whole of Lancaster. Spent some time each day with it fully open enjoying the fresh air and view. The kitchen had a balcony with a massive window which was great for light and fresh air. We also had a view of the castle. The staff were absolutely lovely and any issues we had (such as with showers or lighting) got resolved very quickly. The extra events they host year round (Halloween, Christmas, petting zoo, BBQ, and others) made living here so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

Terrible experience. Very tiny room with very uncomfortable bed. The staff is tremendously unhelpful and careless. After living in 3 different student accommodations in Lancaster, this is the only place I would not recommend anyone to go. If you want to go cheap find somewhere else, its not worth it.

Dont live here, if you come across this review just dont live here for god sake. It may be cheap, it may be in a rather good location but trust me and look for somewhere else even if it costs you a little bit more! The office is never open, thus your parcels are never delivered and even if they are the office closes at 4, so you cant pick them up once you come home! Cara backhouse was the manager when I was there and she is the most horrible person you can meet, threatened to fine me 200 multiple times for issues that didnt exist or for letting my friend sleep on the sofa lest she go homeless for the summer, like I said, totally horrible Karen as the manager. So once again, go anywhere, anywhere else, be that a house through the agencies, or another accommodation in town, or a box in the street for a couple of days till something else comes up, anywhere but here. Will still say the cleaner and maintenance man are nice people, no shame on them for bad management, joy to talk to. Still final note, just dont go here!
