Peter Blackburn Piano and Violin Teacher

I've been taught Violin by Peter for a good while now, he's a great teacher. Insightful, calm and helpful. Always on time and willing to give advice when asked or needed.

Peter has been my piano teacher for over three years. He has patiently helped me work through all three volumes of Carol Barretts excellent adult learner books to Fanny Watermans young pianist repertoire books. It has been a difficult path for me as an adult learner with limited practice time, but Peter has been a thorough, kind and patient instructor. Im sure I have hurt his ears over the last three years with my playing but through his patient instruction and kind correction I am slowly getting better. I look forward to three plus more years of his tuition. Thank you Peter.

Peter is an excellent teacher. He taught my 2 sons for 10 years each (both from age 8-18) from beginner through to Grade 8. As well as being a thorough and effective teacher, he has a calm, patient and professional manner and is consistently punctual and reliable.

Peter has been our piano teacher for over two years. I can't recommend him highly enough. He is great with my two boys aged 7 and 10, very patient and kind. I started learning the piano and have now added the violin. Peter has given me the confidence and skills to play both instruments. I have gone from not being able to play the piano at all to playing pieces I love at grade three level.
