Higher Greaves

The staff at Higher Greaves pharmacy are amazing. They are professional, polite and super efficient. They know exactly what they are doing and they know exactly how to run a prescription dispensing service. I have used a few pharmacies over the last few years for collecting my prescriptions (ordered through the myGP app) and Higher Greaves is definitely the best. I won't be going anywhere else. Please don't close down!

Moved to this pharmacy six months ago as had bad experience at other local one from lost prescriptions to being given the wrong medication. This is a completely different story. Kind and helpful staff even ringing the doctors while I waited to enquire about a missing prescription. They text me when my medicines are ready and they make it really easy. I am so grateful to have this pharmacy nearby.

Efficient is not how I would describe this pharmacy. Picking up a repeat prescription should be a 2 minute quick and easy job, well not for this pharmacy. Every time we use this pharmacy it seems like an impossible task. This time it took them 5 minutes to find the prescription for the customer in front of me, they were adamant it wasnt there and then it magical appeared. Then it was my turn.. First they tried to tell me that I pick my prescription up from another pharmacy (I think I would know and I picked up the same prescription only a month prior). Back to the computer they went, asked my middle name and my address... still no prescription apparently. They asked for my date of birth, they have suddenly found me on the system but my date of birth doesnt match to what I told them and they must phone the doctor... 10 seconds later they find my prescription sitting on the side ready to go... I will give it to you but now I will have to phone the doctor and sort it out said the old lady with an attitude. I rang the doctors immediately who confirmed my date of birth was correct. They basically made me wait for 15 minutes whilst they tried to find my prescription on the computer which was sat a meter away from them and tried to tell me the whole disaster was because of an incorrect date of birth which is complete lie. My Dr surgery then asked what pharmacy I was with and said what a nightmare they are and asked if Id like to switch, so I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately this isnt a one off, it happens every single time I/partner need a prescription for ourselves/children. Ive never known anything so simple be made so difficult. On a previous visit I asked the pharmacist (Male, I think the owner) advice for a rash on my daughters foot and he gave me the completely wrong product/diagnosis according to my doctor. Thankfully I now wont be returning I will travel to avoid such terrible service rather than walking around the corner.
