Known in our family as the dark park. Great central parking spot.

Plenty of room to park, despite some sections cordoned off for work of some kind.

Lancaster Council has just spoiled what used to be the best car park in town. You now have to use the primitive procedure of prepaying for parking, instead of paying for what you actually used. Note also one of the prepay machines was out by exactly FIVE HOURS, so if you didn't check carefully, you could pay and automatically have an expired ticket. Fortunately we avoided this just in time, but I wonder how many people get ripped off? All very disappointing.

Ive used this place numerous times over the years and felt it was a secure place to park but its now being run by the council, the prices have increased and its not safe and secure as the gates are chained open loads of spaces have been cordoned off so limited parking. Ill save money and park in an open car park in the future.
