Updated Review: Staff went out of their way to fit appointment in when it was previously cancelled. My anger had got the better of me on my previous review. Staff shortages etc happen and the way it's been dealt with is great. Staff on site were very welcoming and I look forward to seeing them again. Parking near site can be tricky as the small car park nearby is almost always full, so I had to take the risk and resort to a loading bay.. My 2nd appointment was a pleasant experience, even though there was a delay. My scan results came in a timely manner as staff kept their promise regarding the logistics of it. I would give 5 stars, but it does seem as though the place is slightly short staffed, something that management need to look into. That was my impression anyway

My children have been supported by Malmin Orthodontists for the past 12 months and can honestly say weve always had 5* service. The staff are lovely - they are friendly, approachable and hard working. My daughter needed a referral to the hospital which they completed and she was seen at the hospital within a month of the referral. Whenever appointments are coming up we get text reminders, and although the reception area can be busy the ladies do their absolute best to ensure patients are dealt with promptly. They do a fabulous job and despite the difficulties of frontline working they manage to always provide service with a smile! The reception area is also always very clean and welcoming. The nurses work hard in supporting the orthodontists and also ensuring patients feel relaxed and at ease - they are all friendly and professional despite the pressures of their role. Aside from my children visiting I am also a patient. I have been seeing Sarah for the past 20 months as she has been guiding me through my Invisalign journey. Ive been updated every single step of the way, had all my options explained and above all Sarah has managed my anxieties and my fussiness without batting an eyelid - Sarah has made my smile worth showing off!!! Anyone considering braces I would highly recommend Invisalign, and would also recommend Malmin. Myself and my very fussy children are very pleased with the treatment and support we receive :)

I am currently having orthodontic treatment done by Jakub and he is so great, he explained everything so well while doing the treatment planning, and at each stage. I have been so impressed with the whole practice team, everyone is really friendly and have made me feel extremely comfortable, and have really boosted my confidence. It has been a big thing having braces on in my 40's! When I have had a problem I have had no trouble getting in contact, and have been seen very quickly. I am very grateful to the whole team but especially Jakub, his (scottish) nurse, the lovely lady who did my xrays and photos and Donna who has been on reception most of the times I have been in. You have all made me feel I definitely made the right choice coming to malmin for my treatment, thank you x

Sadly I can't give zero stars so I've reluctantly given one star. We've no experience of the actual surgery because we've never got past the vile receptionist. However she deserves zero stars all by herself. She's unbearably rude and nasty on the phone, unhelpful, snappy and shrill. I just called on recommendation of my dentist who assured me our referral was sent. I politely started but she butted in and repeatedly ranted at me that my referral had not been received - before I'd even given her a name or referral number to check. Denial must be her default setting! Basically, I used to train telephone agents in a call centre and have seen people sacked for less. I will be putting in a formal complaint because after six months, despite the system showing our referral was sent in, she insists it doesn't exist and it's all the fault of our dentist. I can log in and actually see the referral was received by them but they are blocking any enquiries about it. I don't know why. It means my daughter will have to be referred to a different orthodontist, further away, and start again at the bottom of the waiting list while a tooth grows up near the roof of her mouth. However I'd rather pull my own teeth with pliers than speak to that woman again. My advice is to avoid this place so you don't have to deal with the bulldog at the front desk.
