Visited the arndale in Morecambe today to go purposely to St Johnson charity near the Iceland store, we have donated and bought many years from their stores and always been a pleasure, but today we were treated appallingly by two young ladies, we went to buy two items and asked about the cost as no prices on them? I was told 5 for 5 but we only wanted two! But we only wanted two so valid question to ask price per item. The response was terrible, the young lady said its a pound shop everythings a pound wheather you buy 1 or 5? This obviously is not the case as many items were price 50p or 3upwards! I just asked if we could pay just for two please as we dont need 5 of the item. I was then told if you shopped at another charity it would be 3/5 each! Which I explained actually no they are usually around 20p to 30p each now as no one wants DVDs. Her and her friend then both laughed and said dont buy them then we dont care and laughed together like two silly children? I explained had they not been so rude I actually would of bought but only asked a valid question to get a very rude response, so we left the counter. As I walked away I heard the lady in the glasses say you are the one with attitude! I went back and did say that maybe they should act more professional you are working for a charity shop and they were extremely rude. I will not visit ever again and will not donate items or money due to the behaviour of these two individuals I suggest the manger whoever they are has a strong word or even moves them on. I am making a official complaint as it was appalling and they are extremely rude young people, with no manners or customer experience.
