Caton Court is truly a great place to live for any student looking for a lively and comfortable campus alternative. With amenities such as the gym, cinema room, pool tables, study room, and sky lounge, there is always something to do on-site. Unlike other independent housing in Lancaster City, Caton Court feels like campus accommodation, but off-campus (with even better rooms). With the bus station 5 minutes away, Sugarhouse student nightclub 2 minutes away, two large supermarkets around the corner (Lidl and Sainsburys), and the city centre 8 minutes away (on foot), this accommodation is in a very accessible location. I have stayed at Caton Court for the past two years, and have never had any issues. And if any issues with the room/common spaces would arise, they will quickly be resolved by the on-site maintenance stars Mark and Daniel. Naturally, there's a mixed environment of people focusing on their studies, but also there are flats with occasional Friday night house parties. With on-site 24/7 security, I've always felt safe, and the security personnel are very fun to talk to (shoutout to John). I would recommend visiting Caton Court for a guided tour to get a feel for the place, and if you made up your mind already, make sure to book it early (in my years they completely booked out mid-December). You can email the management to book together with your friends/current flatmates.
