    Unfortunately, I caught COVID-19 when I first moved in Cityblock Gillows which is location in Lancaster and the staff helped me with almost everything while I was in self isolation. They delivered food, received and collected parcel. And every staff in Gillows are helpful, single maintenance about the room facilities can be done with in 2 days time. Highly recommended!!

    The staff were always ready to help when I stayed at CityBlock. I caught COVID-19 while staying at the Gillows location in Lancaster and they helped me tremendously while I was in isolation. They delivered food, removed rubbish bags from outside of my flat, and called me every few days to check up on me. I really can't recommend them enough!

    I have been stayed in Gillows for two years, one year for Deluxe Ensuite and one year for studio. Here are my reasons why Gillows is a lovely place to stay at. - Modern room decoration: have a really large table for both ensuite and studio and also a good bathroom and kitchen (shared kitchen in ensuite). - Really nice manager and team: They keep all the communications to residents and there is no situation such as one of the staff just come into your room without notification. They are really nice, doing everything following the guideline. - Luxury common room: Study room, sofa, huge TV screen, a really nice pool table and a new piano now. - Weekly cleaning service: I would like to say cleaning ladies are professional, and never touch your personal belongings. - Nice location: A really big Sainsbury's just across the road and 3 -minute walk to Lancaster bus station. - Quick maintenance service: All you need to do is report in online portal. - Good laundry room: An App instead of physical card, you can see if the washing and drying machine is available and reserve them before you go to laundry room. Don't need to pay extra money to pay for physical card and use all the balance you toped up before you leave - you pay every time before you wash or dry. I really enjoyed the time in Gillows. Really recommend!

    I live here in a studio. Very stuffy. The vent is just a decoration. Summer is hard to get through. Soundproofing is poorcheap partition material. The floor on the second floor is wooden. Can you believe it? Next to the A6 road. If your window faces the A6, it will be very noisy and dusty. At the same time, the building will shake violently when the vehicles pass by. There are a lot of heavy vehicles on this road too. It felt like I was experiencing small earthquakes every day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The staff work very short hours, and the delivery always fails to find them and leaves. The building also did not give clear instructions on how couriers could contact the residents through the intercom at the gate. Washing machines are nightmares. Two washers and two dryers, sometimes you just have to wait. They were WASHSTATION, a dying brand, and you couldn't use physical cards. The App has huge problems. The cleaning was inadequate. One day I walked in and saw the cleaner, and she just rubbed the surface of the rubber Seal.
