Morrisons Cafe

If I could give 0 stars I would. Recent experiences here have been very poor but today was the worst. Arrived to a sign at 2pm saying over an hour wait for food. The automatic coffee machine was out of order so no hot drinks except tea. Ordered one tea cake, got 2 (bonus!) but both were burnt. All the tables around were uncleared. Generally really poor.

My wife & I visit this cafe on a regular basis but totally agree with Doris Ferris' post approx 3 weeks, those horrible noisy chairs! You go in for a reasonable meal & drink and leave with a migraine! Yes the Riversway, Preston & Kendal are much nicer with total re-vamps and have working coffee machines. It's really time that the Management at Morecambe sorted this branch, the coffee machines haven't worked properly for three years! With Eden Project hopefully in Morecambe soon, let's hope Morrisons Morecambe can gets the facelift it needs!

Went for the first time for a quick bite to eat with my husband and baby. All I can say is that the food I had at hospital after recently having my baby was miles better than this place. Waited 30 mins for egg, beans and toast, and a jacket potato. Jacket potato was slightly undercooked, tuna was tasteless and the egg, beans and toast tasted bland, overcooked and reheated. Worst part of the experience though was the atmosphere, it was so depressing and felt like a prison cafeteria. There was nothing on the walls, lighting was awful, noise from the furniture deafening, no music at all, drab paint job, dirty tables littered with food, used plates and rubbish. The 'self serve' coffee machines and the pay area, coupled with the above, made it feel like a soup kitchen. 1 star for the staff - they didn't do anything above and beyond but they were polite. Will never go there again.

Very well cooked hard bacon off sausages which was disgusting both breakfast . Sent back but just as bad what came back and no toast. Chelf needs to go back to college to retrain. Also coffee machine broken down have to walk into the supermarket to get coffee with cups. No health and safety issues

Given 3 as staff deserve a medal....but.....those chairs! Seriously, i cant begin to describe the racket everytime someone moved their chairs. Absolutely horrendous...do not go if any of you get over stimulated, low or frustrated. It's such a shame they revamped both Preston's and Kendal's cafes very nicely but missed this busy, popular cafe which is desperate for an update and losing those blinking chairs.
