Whilst the staff here are very nice and helpful in store (I believe it was Luke I saw), as evidenced by the positive reviews, I'm having to give a low review due to the actual product service given. This January I bought a pair of Edea Overtures as a beginner skater. I tried on skates and was given size 280. These never felt like they stayed on my feet correctly on ice and caused a lot of pain. I put it down to me being a beginner. I was told to try tightening the laces at the instep, which I did, to the point it was painful, but it still didn't keep my foot held in place at the back. I opted to buy some insoles as I have had problems with my arches previously. Once I started private coaching I was told they could see the boots moving around on my feet. I opted to go to another skate fitter as they offered to scan my feet and measure it in 3D. It turns out I should be size 265, 3 sizes smaller than I was sold here. So I had to fork out another 200+ for more skates. Furthermore, I was told by both the other skate shop and my coach, who are not affiliated, that they've had several students who've experienced the same improper measurements at the Skate Centre. Generally disappointed to have wasted this much money. Especially as a beginner it's so difficult to know what to look for in a fitting, you have to just go by what you read online and what you're told in store.

Brilliant service, encouraged me to take my time to try lots of different skates until I found one that was just right. It was an expensive investment but so well worth it, no pain in my feet and improved skating. Would highly recommend

This is the best Skate shop. Great customer service, and they won't try to sell you something you don't need. Luke was friendly, professional and we had a great chat whilst he sharpened my skates. Alex was responsive to my emailed queries prior to me visiting the shop. 100% would recommend
