Absolutely terrible. My grandfather was living in Nottingham care village from 2019 to 2022. We have had to move him due to the standard of NCV declining so much over the past few years. The cleanliness upstairs was declining and the residents on the first floor who all have dementia are all left staring into space for the majority of the day with little to no interaction surrounded by the smell of urine which was getting progressively worse each time I visited (weekly). The management were happy to let their regular staff be downstairs with the residents who were able minded enough to give feedback to relatives and upstairs there was a continuous conveyor belt of agency staff with a lack of training given and many of whom spoke very minimal English. There were many instances of aggressive behaviour from other residents but the management didnt seem be concerned by the impact this was having on more vulnerable residents who were scared. I was visiting on several occasions where there was poo smeared on the wall. I have witnessed residents alarms going off and no response for over 5 minutes without a carer in sight. I have witnessed residents crying and wailing and being ignored. The management expressed wanting to increase their resident capacity when there were clear staffing issues as it was. Management were unfriendly and unwilling to take on feedback. I have many other issues but these are the ones that first spring to mind. Awfully upsetting experience for the whole family.
