A fantastic walk with a lot to offer. River, waterfall and tarn make it an interesting trip with varied scenery. Helpfully sign posted at various points, it is near impossible to get lost. Begin at the sign for Easedale Tarn (attached in my review) and from there follow the road up to the YHA site and beyond. You eventually reach a wooden foot bridge and cross over a stream into a field. Walk across the field along the stone path until you get to the foot of the hill. Here the terrain gets rocky, but not too difficult to clamber up. From here you can't get lost, keep following the track infront of you alongside the waterfall until you reach the tarn. Perfect spot for a picnic. Took us 90 minutes to walk up and 90 minutes back.
