        Small 2-story home with lots of history. Shares courtyard/parking lot with attached apartments. Steep, windy driveway. Attached apartments on all sides. Updated kitchen and bathroom. Lovely living/dining room is somewhat uncomfortable. Must go down stairs to get into home from courtyard. Attached sunroom is unheated. Spare toilet at entryway is appreciated but unheated. Some lovely views of Lake Windermere. Approximate one mike walk to downtown Ambleside on sidewalk along busy road that is very dark at night.

        Excellent property with plenty of character and all the amenities that you would expect and hope for in a cottage. Although right next to a road that is well used during day time, it gets quiet at night. Not just Ambleside is in easy walking distance from the cottage, the walking path into the fells right next to the cottage is an absolute plus. Highly recommended when youre looking for the proper Lake District experience!
