        Visited here before we had a walk to the top of the peaks in Grassmere. Just stopped for a coffee at first but then saw the menu and couldnt refuse myself a Full English! Price very reasonable as well. Really delicious and excellent service. Dog friendly as well so we sat outside and really enjoyed. Definitely recommend!

        Visit today for food, good service and good food would recommended definitely return, the ice scream is to die for best tasting ice scream I ever had.

        Unfortunately St Oswalds church was closed & locked on this day, which was a shame, as I like to spend a few quiet moments of reflection in there. However, we did the riverside walk, which is always lovely - terrific views of the mountains & we did the usual visit to Wordsworth's grave in the churchyard. The garden centre across the road from the church is always a must. There are usually offers on planters etc. & there is a very nice cafe. The road out of the back of Grasmere takes you up Red Bank & on to Chapel Stile, a lovely run, but very steep.
