        Food was great, atmosphere was nice. A little bit pricey, I think but it didnt bother us. And also staff could be a little bit more friendly and smiley. They werent rude of course but you wanna see a smiley face when you try to enjoy your free time.

        An okay place if you can't find anything.... decided to give this place a try while visiting the lake district area. The restaurant has great ambiance and welcoming atmosphere, but that's where the good stops. Ordered their fish and Chips, and veggie platter with onion rings. Onion rings were too oily which left an after taste. Veggies were mostly frozen with not so fresh hummus and fried halumi. Everything the restaurant fried was just too oily. Customer service was good.

        Nicely situated. We sat outside for drink as it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately lady serving behind bar was offhand and surly. Toilets were dirty and obviously hadn't been checked for a while. Shame as potentially it looked like a lovely country pub.
